Scott came by tonite. We went to Tied House for a burger and beer. Recall that Scott is going to be in Korea for the next two months and will be without such American cuisine. Instead, he will be enjoying k-9 and various other little critters that I would never eat sober. It was good to catch up. He has a lot of cool stuff lined up for this calendar year.
Also, Amanda cut her hair short. When I got home there was a pony tail in a plastic Ziploc on the counter. It was hers. She is going to donate it to some charitable organization. What's funny is that the hair tie was still on, holding the ponytail in its proper ponytail position.

In case anyone might be interested, the charitable organization is called "Locks of Love". They are a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to children suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. Anyone can donate hair (regardless of gender, race, hair color or hair type), although it needs to be at least 10" in length. A dance friend of mine grows her hair out every year (or however long it takes to get it the right length for donation), just to get it chopped so she can donate. So, the next time any of you are thinking of going from super long to super short, ask your hair stylist to save the hair in a ponytail so you can donate, too! See locksoflove.org for more info.

you can donate at "wigs for kids" too....same kind of deal. i've used both. it takes 7-8 donations to make one wig!!
